New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the pending exams of Class 10 and 12 from July 1, 2020, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said Friday.
Pokhriyal said that the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams 2020 will be held between July 1 and 15, 2020.
The revised date sheet and time table for the pending papers of CBSE Board exam 2020 have been notified by the board online on the official website i.e. cbse.nic.in.
The Class 10 and 12 board exams 2020 were postponed due to Coronavirus lockdown announced on March 24.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had earlier said that it will conduct the board examination for Class 10 and 12 after the lockdown period is over.
Pokhriyal had earlier said that the remaining Class 10 Board exams will take place only for north-east Delhi students.
This means that the board will conduct CBSE 12th exam 2020 for 28 key papers for all-India students along with the CBSE 10th exam only for students from north-east Delhi.
Ramesh Pokhriyal highlighted that the government is planning to tackle the academic loss of students during the lockdown period. As a response to Covid-19 lockdown, CBSE will assess the loss of instructional time for a proportionate reduction in curriculum load for board exams 2021.
Ramesh Pokhriyal had earlier also said that out of the 83 exams of CBSE for Class 10 and 12, 29 will be held. The marks of the remaining optional exams will be based on internal assessment.
