Ahmed Yaqoot joined a Quran-learning centre in a mosque when he was five years old before his father took him to an official Quran memorization centre, according to emirates247.com.
Yaqoot is now dubbed "the youngest Quran memoriser" in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah.
"After nearly two years, he succeeded in memorizing the whole Holy Quran," his father said, quoted by 'Saqb' Arabic language daily.
The paper quoted his tutor Mohammed Ali as saying Ahmed is "one of the most attentive and talented pupils I have had".
"I am happy to be called the youngest Quran Memorizer in Jeddah," Ahmed said, adding that his wish in life is to become a doctor.
