Can India
end Australia's dominance in World Cup?
Going by the relative strengths of India and Australia, the World
Cup quarterfinal between two strong rivals here Thursday will be
fought on level terms at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera here.

Yes, India ended the Australian dominance in the world cup.
Yesterday this question was taking round in the media and as you
read this India has comfortably defeated the defending champion
Australia in the quarter final played March 24 at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera
near Ahmedabad.
The Austrlian team after winning the
toss opted to bat and could score 260 runs for the loss of six
wickets. Skipper
Ricky Ponting, who came in for heavy criticism for scoring just 102
runs in his last five innings, scored his 30th ODI hundred, to pull
the four-time World champions out from a precarious 150 for four to
a defendable target. At the end, however, the target looked too
small for the Indian batsmen.
Chasing the target, the Indian middle
order, after losing of Sachin Tendulkar's wicket at his personal
score of 53 runs, was collapsed but Yuvraj Singh (57) and Suresh
Raina (34) finally took India to victory.
India achieved the target in 47.4
overs with five wickets still in hand.
India will now face Pakistan in the
semi finals.
