Jammu: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nirmal Singh were respectively sworn in as the chief minister and deputy chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir in a ceremony held here on Sunday.

Mufti will head the PDP-BJP coalition government in the state and will be the chief minister for full six-year term.
This is the second time he will be heading a coalition government. In 2002, he led a PDP-Congress alliance and was chief minister for three years.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP's national president Amit Shah and senior leaders L. K. Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi attended the swearing in ceremony of the PDP-BJP coalition government in the state.
