New Delhi: An assistant commissioner of police posted in north Delhi was booked for allegedly raping his daughter-in-law here, police said Tuesday.
Police said a case was registered at south Delhi's Vasant Kunj Police Station Monday, after the woman alleged that her father-in-law raped her in May last year.
The accused official, who was not named in order to protect the victim's identity, has not been arrested yet.
The woman also told police in her complaint that after her father-in-law forced himself on her, she had gone into depression.
She also said that he had threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident.
